easter 2013

We had a wonderful Easter weekend this year.  It was our first Easter as East Tennessee residents.  While living in Memphis, we always came home for most holidays.  But those weekends were always full of traveling, running around trying to see everyone, tears (Me and GJ) and then making that boring 5 hour drive back West.  Not having to travel on holidays is probably one of the best things about living so close to family.

Saturday night we went to play with our favorite little people....

Sunday we went to church at our church!  Yes, we officially joined Two Rivers Church in Lenoir City.  We love love it!!  We both grew in our faith while living in Memphis and found our style of church.  We were worried when we moved that we wouldn't find a church that lived up to Fellowship Memphis.  But God is so good and we found 2RC.  We just finished the eight week Wade-In class and officially became members a few weeks ago.

Here we are on Easter 2012.  Look at little Asher..
{Click here to read about last Easter, which was our first Easter with Asher.}

After church we headed to Crossville to see Nana and Poppy.  Asher didn't last very long.  Playing with friends is exhausting.  He did so great in the nursery on Easter.  He went through a phase for a few weeks and would cry whenever we dropped him off.  Of course he would be fine within two minutes but it's hard to leave your little man in tears.  It's normally me pulling Trav away from the window saying, "He's ok, he's ok.."  {He's such a good Daddy!}  On Easter he walked in and said, "bye bye" to us.  Way to go buddy!!

After playing in Crossville for a while we came back to Kingston.  We ate dinner with my family.  Asher sure does love his Aunt Summer!

Asher's Easter presents to his grandparents.

The Hatfield Easter bunny truly spoiled this little fella..

Wearing his working gear from the Hatfield Easter bunny..

Silly kid.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die."  John 11:25-26
