First Trip to Durham

Last week, the family headed to Durham, NC for Duke's Blue and White spring game! It was a lot of fun. There was a record setting crowd there that day!! It was so much fun walking around campus. We walked around before the game and were able to walk in Cameron and the Chapel and after the game, Summer and I went onto the field. David doesn't like people on his field but he didn't mind it so much this time!! Pickell also took us around and showed us the Duke football facilities! Thanks for being such a great host, Pickell. Well, I think our family looks pretty good in our new Duke Blue!! What do you think? =)

In the middle of the "D" which stands for Duke and David =)
Outside the Chapel, the inside is amazing! My pictures didn't turn out great because you can't use a flash.

Lifehouse!

Friday, April 11...Lifehouse Concert! After getting lost for almost an hour, my best friend, Julia, and I finally made it to the Lifehouse concert. We missed Honey Honey who opened the show first...but we made it for Matt Nathinson! He was great! He was cracking jokes the whole time! Finally Lifehouse came out. They were awesome! Jason, the lead singer is great! =)

Reecie, Cooper, and Ellie

We love our babies!! Travis and I have Reecie. She is a Yorkie Chihuahua mix. I got her almost 5 years ago when she was only 7 weeks old and 1 1/2 pounds. She could fit in my coat pocket!! She will be 5 on November 2 and she is 6 1/2 pounds. She likes to think she is a 100 pound dog sometimes!
Summer and Mike's first child is Cooper, a yellow lab, he is almost 4 and about 90 pounds. Summer has never had her "own" puppy, so on Friday they adopted Ellie. She is a 7 week old chocolate lab and is about 9 1/2-10 pounds (already bigger than Reecie!) Here are some pictures of our families!!

Ellie girl (I helped with the name!!) Look at her BLUE eyes!
She's sleepy...long day of playing with her brother, Coop
She loves her daddy!
Reecie, only a few months old!
She LOVED the college life!!

"Walking in Memphis!!"

Yay!! Travis has been accepted into dental school at UT Memphis. We will be moving there this summer. We are very excited about the move and the changes that are happening in our lives.

I went down last week during my spring back, I wanted to see Memphis in the daytime! I had only been to Memphis one time---when Travis was interviewing for the program and we got ENGAGED. Everything works out for a reason, huh!! =) I really liked downtown Memphis. It is very different from anywhere I have ever lived...but I will get used to it! I found us a cute apartment. We are thinking about living in an apartment on Mud Island for the first year or so. It will be a big change going from a house with an attic to an apartment without, should be interesting. But Travis needs to be near the school since he will be running back and forth a lot.

The thing that makes the most nervous and sad is leaving my wonderful job!! I love my school and everyone I work with. I've been looking at all the area schools. I am hoping to find a job in Shelby Co. I am going for an interview at the beginning of May, wish me luck!! I hope and pray for another 1st grade class. =) We will see what happens!!!
