easter weekend

We had an amazing trip home over the Easter weekend. We headed home Thursday night and spent the night with Trav's family.

Early Friday afternoon we went by and visited with our good friends Sam, Jill and Lily. We miss seeing them!

Friday afternoon we made our way to Knoxville to Sum and Mike's. I could hardly wait to get there and see my Josie B and Charlie. It's been over a month since I've seen them!! We had nothing to do this weekend but play!!

We gave my Mom an early birthday present. (Her birthday is in August.) She and my Dad have become traveling fools and we didn't want them to plan something on the night that Keith Urban will be jamming in Knoxville! She's loved Keith for a long time. We took her about 5-6 years ago to see him in Nashville, it was too cute watching her stare at him and sing a long to his music. Dad might need to be worried.. =)

addicted?

I think so! I am not ashamed to say that I am just a little bit addicted to yummy yogurt shops.

I think I've been at least once a week over the past month. Maybe even twice a week....

My parents came to hang out with me two weekends ago. Of course I took them to YoLos.

Here's what we enjoyed that night...

I had a great time hanging out with them. It was just us three. Travis headed out for a retreat with his Discipleship Group on Friday and didn't return until late Sunday afternoon. I didn't want to spend the weekend alone so I called my parentals and said, "hey, come stay with me this weekend."

Let me tell you the highlight of my weekend. Saturday we went to Tunica. As we were walking into our first casino my Dad hands me a $100. Would you like to know what I did with that $100? Put.It.In.My.Pocket. I didn't loose a penny. Dad said later that day, "So I basically paid you $100 to hang out with us today." My response...YEP! Thanks Daddy. =)

I cannot wait to head home on Thursday and spend a few days with my Josie B. and Charlie.

It's been over a month and I am dying to be around them.

But for now, daily photos will have to do. =)

I miss him and cannot believe how big he is. He's gained about 3 pounds and is already bigger than Josie was at 1 month.

This has been one crazy, exhausting, long, great great week!!

Spending our Friday night with our family of friends was the best way to end the week.

shower and easter

About a month ago, I helped host a shower for one of my sweetest friends, Lauren. Her little girl, Aven, is due on May 7. We cannot wait to meet little Aven and welcome her into our group of friends!

I cannot wait to go home for Easter and see my family. While home over Spring Break, Summer and I got Josie and Charlie Easter baskets. We found these super cute baskets at Target. I painted the wooden letters and we glued them to the front. Simple and sweet..

friday night web date

Gosh, I am really missing my little friends, a lot.

Tonight I had a web cam date with my two favorite little people. Josie was so funny. I would make silly faces at her and she would just laugh!! I love making her laugh, it makes my heart smile.

She was being silly and wouldn't sit still for a picture...

There he is, Charlie! He's growing by the minute. It makes me sad to think that the next time I see him he will almost a month and a half.

p.s.

My friend, Julia, told me that she say Josie B today. She said that Josie was being quiet and shy (imagine that) and wouldn't speak much. Julia told her that she was going to tell me she saw her and said that Josie jerked her head up and got excited when she said my name! Now that makes my heart smile!!
