first snow of 2016

This past week, we had our first snow of the winter.  The first day of snow was so fun!  It was fluffy and fun.  The next round wasn't as much but still pretty.  Now that it's been around for a few days, I'm over it and ready for it to go away until next winter.  Love snow days but I only need a few for the year.   Asher and Maeve on the other hand love it!

Our next batch of snow came a day or so later.  We got out and about for just a few minutes for a little adventure around the house.  It was like 20 degrees, windy and just too cold.... and our lock to the out building was frozen and we couldn't get the sled out.

Our winter weather has been so crazy this year.  The last week of December we had great weather so we took advantage and went to the zoo with some friends.  Several of the Disney Princesses were also there that day and it made our visit perfect!  Did I mention that Kate is just a little over an hour away from us now??  They have officially moved home from Memphis and we are so excited!!! We loved her being able to meet us at the zoo!

christmas 2015

Our Christmas this year was the best one yet.  I have a feeling I'll be saying that every year though because life with these two just keeps getting better and better.  They both really understood the excitement with it all this year and that makes everything perfect!

{on Christmas Eve we headed to nana and poppy's house!  they sure did get spoiled there!  nana knows the way to their hearts!  cinderella and optimus prime outfits!} 

{after opening gifts with nana and poppy, we headed to mamaw's for an early supper.  maeve loves girl talk with her mamaw and nana.}

{once we got home, we sprinkled reindeer food outside on the sidewalk.  that way jesus would know exactly where we live and can tell his helper, santa, to stop at our house!}

{christmas morning was so fun!  i tried getting pictures of both kiddos but asher was walking so fast all of his pictures are blurry!}

{watching them look around and seeing all of their favorite things was so fun.  i cannot stand surprises and i had been itching to give them these gifts for forever.}

{it didn't take long for him to get out his optimus prime outfit he got the day before from nana and poppy.  happy happy boy.}

{after all the morning excitement it was time for breakfast and celebrating jesus.  we put candles in our muffins and sang "happy birthday, jesus."}

{the four of us hung out all day long in our pjs.  it was the best day!  we never left the house, not sure if we even showered but we were happy happy happy!!}
