I am going to have a NIECE!!!

Summer and Mike are having a GIRL!!!!!!!  YAY!  We are so excited.  We all thought they were having a boy!  =)  Mike is going to have a daddy's girl if I have ever seen one.  I can't wait to meet Josephine Belle!  They have had their girl's name for a long time.  Josephine is Mike's grandmother and Belle is our great-grandmother!  We don't know what her nickname will be, "Josie", "Jo Jo", "Josie B", don't know!  We will have to see which one she acts like.  I keep saying "we" like I am the one having the baby!  haha!  Mike knows that I help with decisions like this!  I have been calling the baby, Little Matty, I guess I need to start using her name!  Anyways, I LOVE you guys and Little Miss Matty  =).

Starting A New Tradition...

Today Travis and I started a new tradition.  I kept seeing pumpkin patch signs and corn mazes everywhere!  So, I told Travis...we are going to carve pumpkins  We haven't carved pumpkins before and I want to start doing this every fall.  We got together with Tyler and Jordan, who haven't carved pumpkins together either!  We went and got some pumpkins from a Baptist Church in Memphis.  The money is going to their summer mission trip.  Travis and I decided on the ever so popular smiley face...Tyler and Jordan made a really cool spider-web!  Our little dogs, Reecie and Millie even have their own little bitty pumpkins.  We had a great time carving our pumpkins and starting a new tradition.

Mille and Reecie, luck dogs!  They have their OWN pumpkins.

Duke beat Vandy 10-7 on Saturday!!!!  4-3 record
Travis and I headed to Nashville on Friday right after school.  We met my family at the Music City Sheraton.  Em and I were excited to see other and had a little too much fun with Photo Booth, I posted a slide show below...there were several pictures!  =)
Saturday we woke up, enjoyed a great breakfast downstairs and then headed off to the game.  It was perfect football weather.  The Duke cheering section was great.  It was an exciting game from start to finish.  Way to go Devils.  After the game, we all headed our own ways:  Memphis, Durham, Kingston, Crossville, Harriman, and Little Rock.  I think I hit them all.  =)
Travis's sister, Tonya, and Mom came to their first Duke football game.  We are so glad you two got to join us!!

that's what I love about Sunday

Here are some pictures we took today after church.  We love Sundays!  Waking up, going to church, eating at McAlisters, heading home with the sunroof open, taking Reecie for a walk, watching NFL football, laying on the couch, cooking out, watching Sunday Night Football.....

WoodWick

WoodWick Candles are awesome!!  I first heard about WoodWick Candles when we were hanging out with some of Travis's D1 buddies.  One of the guys said, "they awesome and they will change your life!"  Pretty strong statement.
Well, a few days later, I was shopping...imagine that and I remembered the WoodWick conversation.  I knew that Travis was in awe of this new discorvery (to us anyways) so I decided to purchase one.  Needless to say, it has been the best $16.50 I have spent in a long time!!!  It is sooo cool.  It was a hard decision because all of the scents are amazing and to top it off they make a soft crackling sound.  It's the next best thing to a "real" fire crackling in the background!  I bought the Biscotti scent which is a mixture of cookie dough and vanilla icing.  We can smell it throughout the entire apartment!!!  Everyone needs one.  =)

time flies by...

These past few days have flown by!!!  I was on Fall Break Monday and Tuesday and Julia has Fall Break all week...NOT FAIR, I know.  This is one time I really wish I was still teaching at KES.  Anyways, she came to visit!  She got here around 7:00 on Sunday night and we headed right out the door to Central BBQ to eat (if you can't tell, we LOVE Central).
Monday, we met Travis and some of his friends for lunch at Pei Wei.  After lunch, we did what we do best...SHOP!!  Needless to say, we both spent too much money.  For dinner Monday night, Julia showed me how to make chicken enchiladas and a really good Mexican dip/salad.  So we cooked for Travis and Kyle..our dinner was a success!  We then enjoyed several hours of Sing Star!  It's an awesome PS2 karaoke game.  =)
Tuesday, after sleeping in till 10:30, we took Reecie for a walk down by the river.  It was HOT!  We went to eat lunch at Movie and Pizza Company (which is on the Island) and then walked across the street to the NailBar where we treated ourselves to pedicures!  Let me tell you, it wasn't easy leaving the spa for a flag football game.  Travis plays on a D1 flag football team.  I don't think we were good luck charms because they were winning until we got there!  Oops!  After the game, Julia and I headed to dinner at the Flying Saucer which is downtown on Second Street.  Again, once we got home...several hours of Sing Star.  =)
Wednesday was a sad day!  I headed back to work and Julia headed to Mississippi to visit her sister.  She came by my school and got to see my class and my students.  I can't believe she has already come and gone!!  Time really does fly by when your having fun.
It was GREAT to have her here and show here our new home.  I think she liked Memphis so much she is going to move here!  Ha Ha!  I wish!  =)  I love you Jewya!!!!
