iphone photos

Here's what we've been up to lately..

I finally joined the I heart iPhone club and got the new 5.  I.love.it!  For the past year or so I had an Android.  For the first six months or so, I loved it.  But it slowly starting falling apart.  Literally every task took forever and froze my phone.  Sending a text was a huge ordeal.  I wanted to throw it against the wall on a daily basis.  I hated it.

So here's some iPhone and instagram photos..

When it comes to shopping for little boy clothes, I have a serious problem.  Carter's finally came to Knoxville and I'm in trouble.  ha

My little dude and I watching one of our favorite shows, ELLEN.

Playing outside and making silly faces..

Remember my post about my big boring brown wall?  Well, it's not so boring anymore!!  We still have to add trim and paint over the magnetic primer.  I will post an update soon.

I am in love with spray paint.  It's the cure all to everything.  I've spray painted frames, vases and lamps lately.

Asher and I went to MOPS on Tuesday.  It was our second time and we have both really enjoyed going.  Asher loves being around other kiddos and I love being around other moms.  It's a win-win.  It's at our church, Two Rivers so he already knows a few of the kiddos.

While at my parent's house the other night, I spotted this picture of me when I was a year.  Asher might look just like his Daddy but he acts a lot like his Mommy!

We went to my parent's house Saturday to watch the DUKE vs North Carolina game.  It is a huge rivalry game.  NC has beaten DUKE like 21 out of 22 games.  Going into this game DUKE and NC were both 5-2, so whoever won was going to be bowl eligible.  The last few minutes got pretty intense.  DUKE won and  will be going to a bowl game this year!!  First time since 1994.

Watching GJ and Mommy do some landscaping while eating leaves.

We spend a lot of time outside.  Travis will be taking his little man hunting and camping as soon as he is able!  These two love to wrestle.

Asher falls asleep on our way home from church every Sunday.  Playing with friends and eating lunch is a hard gig.

No words for this picture.  He is a nut.

A few weeks ago, I went in to get Asher up from his nap and I found him pantless.  The other day I found him trying to strip his shirt off..

We got him a new rug for his room.  He and Daddy were trying it out the other night.

This kid has the coolest hair.  It is so thick and 10 different shades of blonde.  The front is no longer black but a light brown..

We laugh because he has more hair than most grown men.

Yep, outside again.  Eating leaves, again.

Happy Wednesday!!

love is patient..

..love is kind.   It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

I'm sure most girls have that verse listed as one of their top love verses.  It is a great one.  I bought some canvases on sale a while back, two for $7.99.  Yes, please.  I'm slowly changing every room in our house.  Adding things here and there.  This is what I made on Sunday while watching football.  Isn't fall fabulous??

You are going to think I'm crazy.  I swear my mind has left me lately and I'm ready for it to come back home.  About half way through my painting, I realized that I wasn't going to have enough space to finish the entire verse...  Shoot!!  I had already put to much time and effort into it so I finished it with a little adjusting.

As of now it's hanging in our room.  I'm going to leave it there for a while and make sure I like it before totally starting over.

The point when I realized I was in trouble..

Please ignore the orange curtains.  Those will hopefully be gone soon!  My Mother-in-Law is making me new curtains and I cannot wait to get them.  I found fabric I love from Short Sheets.  If you are in the East Tennessee area and need fabric, check them out.  They have an amazing selection.  The Crossville location is huge!  She is also going to make me new curtains for our kitchen and bonus room.  I've decided on fabric for the kitchen but still looking for the bonus room.

The blue fabric is for our bedroom and the yellow will be in our kitchen..

kitchen canvas

Travis and I both love Joshua 24:15 and wanted it displayed somewhere in our house.  I wanted something big to go on the wall behind our new kitchen table.  {I will share more pictures on our new table later.}  Buying a fancy painting is just not an option for us right now, so I decided to paint my own.  My canvas came from Hobbly Lobby and was 50%  off.  It was less than $25.  I painted it a mustardy yellow and then spray painted white over that.  I used white Flat, not glossy.  I also got my spray paint from Hobby Lobby and used a 40% coupon, it was less than $4.  The yellow shines through just enough so that you can see both colors.  I mixed black and white paints to give me the perfect shade of grey.  Lastly, I painted the verse.  Total cost was about $30.  Awesome!  I love the way it turned out and it holds much more meaning then some store bought painting..

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
