beach bums 2014

We took our annual Oran Family beach vacation last week and had such a great time.  It was Maeve's first trip to the ocean and Sister did wonderful.  I took so many pictures that it was hard to decide which ones to post… So I posted a lot.  If you aren't interested in seeing a ridiculous amount of beach photos then just stop scrolling.

{Touching ocean water for the first time.}

I love doing comparison pictures.  I love seeing how much my babies have grown or how similar they look at the same age.

It was amazing to me how these boys could dig for hours.  They would grab a shovel and find an area and play forever.  I didn't mind because it allowed me to grab a beach chair and work on my tan.

{Asher and Shivers}

The kids absolutely loved the water.  They had no fear.  They ran, jumped, skipped, belly flopped in the water.  They didn't care if it got in their faces.  They were in heaven.

{I love this picture of the Mattmanns.  Love it.}

Trav's Dad always says that he thinks Asher will end up being a beach bum one day.  We normally just laugh and say, "yeah maybe."  But after this trip we are thinking it is highly possible.  He was totally in his element.  He loves being outside anyways and the sun, beach and ocean waves made him extremely happy.  He stayed out for hours.  He never fussed or cried, he was completely content.

{One of my new favorite pictures of him.}

My Uncle brought a little raft and our three hopped right in.

This sweet face didn't stay at the beach very long.  She went down a little bit each day but it was just too hot.  We had a huge tent that she stayed under but her face quickly got red.  I'm sure next year she will be running around with the other kiddos.

{These two.  Always making us laugh.}

{The original Fab Four}

{Asher sitting on my Uncle D's lap and letting the waves crash on them.}

We let the kids stay up late one night and go out on the beach with flashlights.  They didn't really get the "hunting for crabs" concept but they had a good time none the less.

Before our annual Putt-Putt game.  (I'll do a separate post soon and explain the t-shirts.)

Guess who got a HOLE in ONE on the second hole???  For real.  It was awesome.  Sum and I screamed so loud that it scared her.  We had to explain that we were happy!

{Date night.}

And of course we had to take family photos down on the beach.  Every body does it.

{Take one for the Mattmanns}

{Much better.}

Last comparison, I promise.

We had such a great trip and cannot wait to go back.  Happy Summer Friends!
