Grizz Game

Saturday night we went to the Grizzly vs. Hornets game.  Courtney and Kyle invited us to go with them.  The Grizz have been playing so well and are having a great season.  We were really excited to watch them play.  It was a great game and we had a lot of fun even though they ended up loosing in overtime.  Thanks for the invite friends.

Our view from the box.

Hasheem Thabeet is number 34.  I loved watching him last year when he played for Connecticut.   Well, I loved singing his name, "Hasheem Thabeet, Hasheem Thabeet, Hasheem got Thabeet!"  Until last night, I had forgotten that Memphis picked him up last year.  I was very excited when I heard his name being announced!

Chris Paul, plays for the Hornets.  He is sitting on the bench, hurt.  Second guy to the right of the yellow headband.

sleds, red noses, bumps, and bruises

I can't tell you the last time I went sledding. Sad that it has been so long. The snow and ice is still here in Memphis and today we took advantage of it. We met up with our friends and went down by the Mississippi River. The hills there were perfect! We had a blast. I know we will all sleep good tonight and will be paying for it in the morning.

Team Sisco.

Joneses braved the icy I-4o bridge. Glad you made it friends!

It's the Trammells turn.

Chip heading down the hill head first.

Lauren was waiting at the bottom to catch an action shot.

Nate your going the wrong way.

Our first time down the hill. We didn't want to go it alone.

At the bottom of the hill.

All four boys!

Girls turn.

I think I'm in the lead. Looks like Kendall is about to be turned around and heading down backwards.

Chip in mid sentence, "Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme".

Masters of the Sled.

Mr. Sisco using a cooler lid for a trip down.

We wanted to try it together. Thanks Chip for the push.

Looking like pros ladies.

Safe and graceful landing, this time.

The dreadful treck back up the hill.

On your mark...

Giving Nate a hand.

Quick group picture.

After warming our toes in the car for a minute, we decided to give it one more shot.

Before.

After...
We completely wiped out! Kendall hit hard and jumped right up. Lauren and I landed on top of each other under the sled. Our bodies bent in ways I didn't believe possible. We laughed so hard we were crying. We were done after this ride.

one side to the other

Snow, Ice, Snow, Ice everywhere!  Snow has taken over the state of Tennessee, literally.  Here are some snow pictures stretching from Memphis all the way to Knoxville.

View from our front door this morning...

Our poor frozen bush.

Cabin fever anyone?  After being stuck in doors yesterday, we decided we needed to get out.  Luckily some of our BFFs live right down the street.  We loaded up our goody bag and made our way to see the Trammells and  Puryears.  Travis didn't want to stop for a photo so I snapped one of myself.

The girls wanted to get out for a minute.  Notice the leggings?  We had a "Ladies Legging Party" last night.

While we had girl talk in the kitchen, the boys played Wii.

Walking home around midnight.  The roads were completely frozen.  You could see the water moving under the ice when you stepped.

Ice bunnies.

Our snowy home.

Icicles hanging from the mailbox.

Icicles have invaded our tree.

Now moving East.  In Crossville, Travis' parents have several inches.  Crossville always get lots of beautiful snow this time of year.  This is their driveway.  Can't even tell where it is.

Their pond in the backyard.

Isn't it gorgeous?!

Heading down the mountain to my parent's house in Kingston.  Dad's truck getting some lovin' from the snow.

Looking out the front of their house.  Summer and I used to sled down the road anytime we had a speck of snow.

Boat dock.  Poor jet ski lifts look lonely.

Last stop, Knoxville.  The Mattmanns are enjoying the snow.  Josie B. hasn't been out in it yet.  She is cutting teeth and not up to par.  But that doesn't stop Coop and Ellie.

Back yard.

Looking out Summer's front door.

Now you've experienced snow from one side of Tennessee to the other.  Everyone be safe and stay warm.

ease my mind

I mentioned here that painting has become my new therapy. I really enjoy it and it helps take my mind off of things. School has been a little hectic, I am not complaining, I love my first graders but some days are tough. The other night I decided I wanted to make a platter with our initial. I need to touch the "S" up a little and bake it, then it will be ready to go. I am now going to get started on a few to use during our Super Bowl partay next weekend. Colors will be blue and white!!
