It was good to go home....

It was so good to head back to East TN and see my family! We hadn't been back for over a month. We are now settled and getting used to Memphis. BUT there is NOTHING like home. I miss my Mom and Dad like crazy. I talk to them every day! =) Travis, Kyle, Reecie, and I headed home on Friday afternoon. Our first stop was in Crossville to stay with Travis's Mom and Dad. My Mom and Dad met us to get Reecie. We were heading out in the morning to visit Sam and Jill and couldn't have Reecie with us. I was so excited about seeing my parents! I felt like a little kid...I think I hugged them 10 times. Saturday we hung out with Trav's parents, went to meet Lily Ann, and then headed to the Hatfield house. Mom cooked our favorite things. Mamaw made her amazing chicken (if you have ever tailgated with us you know what I am talking about). Julia (my best friend) came over to visit and our friends Cory and Hillary, who are expecting in February, came down, too. It was a great night. Sunday we headed back to FLAT West TN. I didn't get upset when we left on Sunday, we are flying out to Durham on Saturday morning. We are meeting my family there for DUKE'S home-opener. GO DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!! =) Everyone cheer on the Devils.

Reecie likes to be right in the middle.

She also likes to show off her tricks...standing on her back legs.

Lily Ann

Lily Ann is here. Our close friends, Sam and Jill, had their little girl LILY ANN on Thursday, August 21. She weighed 6lbs and was 18in. She is the prettiest little thing I have ever seen. We headed to East TN on Friday to meet her. I held her and didn't want to put her down. She would yawn and start to open her eyes. She was so content and happy. I looked at Travis and said, "We really should not have come here..." I was feeling the itch. I can wait 4 more years!! Congrats Sam and Jill. =)

Coming in March.....

Great News...My sister Summer and her husband Mike are expecting their first child in March. They do not know the sex of the baby so I nicknamed he/she "Little Matty". They are very excited about their new addition. It is still hard to believe that they are going to be parents...crazy! It made me sad at first because I am 5 hours away but I will be coming home over the summer. I can't wait to spoil Little Matty. =) It seems like everyone around us is pregnant or new parents. Travis and I are not drinking the water!! ha. Trav has 4 years of school. As soon as he gets out we will start our family. It will be great, everyone around us will be pros with 1 or more kids and they can help us! =) Sounds like a plan to me!!
