lots going on...

This is the best I could get on his 2 month birthday! =)
Asher is now 2 months (11 weeks on Wednesday)
He measured 12lbs 130z and 24 inches
(He was born 7lbs 9oz and 21 inches)
So much has been going on these past few weeks! Our little Man isn't so little anymore. He grows and changes so much each and every day. It's incrediable how much he has changed already.
Valentine's Day was extra special because it was also his 2 month birthday. Both onesies worn on that day were made by my friend, Julia.
Asher has been sleeping in his crib for 3 weeks now. We moved him the day he turned 8 weeks. I was nervous about moving him out of our room. I couldn't imagine him not sleeping right beside me. But he was getting much to big for his bassinet. Moving him out of our room and into his own was the best decision we've made. He is doing great in his room. He is still learning and trying to figure out the whole "sleeping through the night". Our bedtime routine starts about 9:30. We bath him every night. He.Loves.Baths! He loves soaking in the warm water and most nights he falls alseep while getting clean. Our baths aren't quick... we take our time and pamper our little man. After the bath we take him into his room and Trav feeds him a bottle of formula and we say our prayers. Trav puts him down every night which is extra special for them. He sleeps till about 3:30-4:00 (sometimes he wakes up before then and we have to pop his paci in his mouth and he drifts back to sleep). He then sleeps till about 6:30-7:00. We feed and then I put him back down for about another hour or two.. then we start our day.

I took Asher to meet my friends at my school. The ladies loved him and he was kissed literally all over.

Looking good and ready to meet Mommy's school friends..

So sleepy..

My parents came to visit and we took advantage. We had a little date night. We didn't do anything crazy just did a little shopping and grabbed some ice cream. We both missed our man and headed home earlier than planned..

(HUH!! I hate blogging on this PC)
The picture above is Asher and Kate having a little baby talk.
I think he's flirting with Miss Kate..

He snuggled with Miss Courtney almost all night.
Giving Kyle some practice, he will have 2 of his own come June. Yep, twins. Mattie Rose and William "James". We cannot wait for them to arrive.

We took Asher to church for the first time last weekend. He did great. I took this picture while we were singing. He didn't know what to think about the loud music. Once the preaching began, he fell asleep and slept through the entire sermon.

After church we went out to eat with friends. We used to do that every Sunday, pre-Asher and it was great to get back in the routine.

And what do you do after chuch? Nap with Daddy!

While my parents where in town, we had a lunch date with Trav at Memphis Pizza Cafe. Asher was perfect. He chilled in his car seat the entire time. The kid loves being outside, especially in this great weather we've been having.

He has recently found his hands. Oh how he loves his hands.

He still loves his swing. Thank goodness. The day he is over his swing will be a sad day for me.

Memphis weather has been amazing lately. We've been taking advantage and going for walks a lot. Asher loves to be outside! He loves strolling in it. He will stay awake for the first few minutes and then slowly drifts off.
We took him for a walk down by the river the other day. We ended up walking around for over and hour and a half. It was so nice out and he was getting a really good nap in..

I cannot believe how big he is. He doesn't really enjoy being held "like a baby" anymore. He wants to face forward and see what is going on. He loves reclining on your lap and watching tv. True.Man.

I know this boy who stole my heart, he calls me Mom.

He talks and laughs all the time. He is such a happy baby. The only time he is fussy is when he's so tired and cannot go to sleep. He is a champion at fighting sleep when he's tired. We've learned to have him take long naps during the middle of the day helps him be a happy baby at night.

He is getting so good at holding his neck up. I think it's because he's so nosey and wants to see what is going on every where around him.
I know that my Mom and Dad will have something to say about his crazy hair in this picture... =)

GJ and Papaw came and stayed with us Tuesday-Saturday. We loved their visit.

Asher loves Papaw. Papaw makes him laugh, laugh, laugh.

And I have to share this picture of Kate. We went walking today with the Puryear girls and Kate was Miss Hollywood. We sure are going to miss these girls when we move back East.

play date with friends...

(I cannot get my cursor to move on top of this picture... But this is Asher ready for his play date!!)

Ok, bare with me. I'm blogging from Trav's computer and we are not friends! I used to blog on my Mac Book but since I'm officially a stay at home mom (yippppeeee) I had to return it to school. Shelby County loans all of their teachers laptops, which is awesome. My Ipad will not let me upload pictures, a feature they don't quite have yet, so I am stuck with the Hubs PC.

Asher and I went over to the Puryear's house for a play date this week. Another friend of ours, Lynsi, brought her little man over to meet us. Samuel is just a few days younger than Asher.

We had a blast sitting around talking babies and realizing how much our lives have changed. I think they would both agree that our new lives kick our old lives butts.

Of course we wanted to get a picture of our kiddos together. Apparently, these pictures are just hilarious. My parents called the other night and they were crying they were laughing so hard. I told them that I think these pictures are precious not hysterical.. =)

What do you think?

Samuel and Kate are pretty much pros at holding their heads up. Asher has a little bit of trouble. His double chin probably doesn't help.

And we've lost the boys...

Sweet Kate just being sweet and wishing these boys would pull it together.

We lost Samuel.

Are they trying to hold hands??

Playing is exhausting...

We had a great time. Cannot wait to get together again. We are thinking about taking the babies to the movies this week so that we can see The Vow. Our hope is that since it will be daytime during the middle of the week no one will be there and that our little loves will sleep. We shall see. I will let you know how that goes.

Happy Sunday.

asher meets east tn

Last Thursday, we made our first trip to East TN with Asher. The trip is normally normally a 5 hour trip, sometimes about 5.5 hours. Well this time it took us about 9 hours to get from Memphis (exit 2) to Crossville (exit 317). I know what you are thinking. You are thinking it took us that long because it was our first road trip as a family of 3. Nope! We got stuck in wreck traffic around Dickson for almost 3 hours. And when I say stuck I mean, turn off your car stuck, sitting perfectly still stuck. Asher was absolutely perfect. He slept basically the entire trip. He woke up to feed and have his diaper changed but besides that he was fantastic!!
We finally made it to Trav's parents house in Crossville and stayed there until Saturday. While in Crossville, Asher met lots of new people..
Sam, Trav's bff, and his little boy Samuel. Samuel and Asher are going to be bff just like their daddies.
The Tollett Family, who we love, and cannot wait to live much closer to.

Jill and I with our little men.

Baby Sam was curious about his new friend.

Little Granny came to meet Asher.
She made the blanket for Asher and she also made him his very first stocking!
Mamaw Sisco loving on Asher.

Trav's cousin, Tyler, came to meet the newest Sisco boy!
Asher's Poppy sure does love him.

Asher with his Nana and cousin Sidney.

Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Steve

We made our way to Kingston on Saturday and stayed with my Mom and Dad for the next few days. Lots more people came to meet Asher.
This little boy is so loved.
Julia, One of my oldest and best friends, came to meet Asher.

Asher and I with two Oran women.

Charlie and Asher, they are going to be the best of friends. I cannot wait for them to be able to play together...

Aunt Sum loves her only nephew!!
I realized that I don't have hardly any pictures of just me and Asher. I'm always the one behind the camera...

Hey there Mr.Charlie.

My Dad, Me, Asher, and My Mamaw Hatfield
I'm so glad she got to meet Asher.

Look at his face! I knew he would love Fancy Nancy just as much as we all do.

Who knows what she is telling him..

I'm in love with this picture. And no we do not make his hair look crazy. It's all natural baby!

My Aunt Cindy and her little girl, Anna Reese, came in from Georgia to see Asher. Thanks girls for coming to meet him! He loved snuggling with you.

Getting everyone to look at the camera at the same time was nearly impossible.

Charlie loved playing with Cindy Sue.

Asher with his only Uncle! Poor kid. =)

Katie wanted to see Asher again! He sure has grown since the last time she held him. He was only about 2 weeks then.

Asher loves Josie B, I promise! She sure does love him..

We snapped a few family pictures. Asher looks like he is beyond tired of saying "cheese!" Don't you think?

My.Man.
We loved showing off Asher and getting to see so many friends and family. Our little man has so many wonderful people who love him. We are very blessed.
