She's Our....

blue-eyed girl AND she is 4 months old.  I wanted to share some more pictures of Josie. I love these pictures because they show her pretty blue eyes.  She is growing super fast.  She giggles when you laugh, she reaches for her socks, she almost holds her bottle, she can hold her head up, she loves looking at herself in the mirror, she can read and write!  haha just seeing if you were paying attention.  Enjoy the pictures...

Yay, I am 4 months!

Yep, going to happen Dad!!

Sitting in her high chair for the first time.

Loves her bouncy thing. (ha, don't know what it is called)  Look at those eyes!

I am going to break many hearts with these eyes!

Who Knew??

Who knew that I would love reading the way I do now??  Like I've said before, I have never been a big reader.  The first series I read was Twilight which you can see in previous post how much I LOVE that series.  AWESOME!  My sister recently turned me onto a series by Emily Giffin.  (Click on her name to see her site.)  The first book is something borrowed.  It was a quick and easy read.  I read it in about 2-3 days.  If I wasn't out for the summer, it would have taken a little longer but I found myself not wanting to put it down.  I will give you the quote that is on the cover of the book.  I think it sums up the book perfectly!  It is from the author of The Devil Wears Prada, she says, "You don't have to lust after your best friend's boyfriend to worship this book (trust me on this)...Here's a heroine you'll root fore and won't want to put down."

I am now ready to move onto something blue.  It is next in the series....

Bare With Me...

because this post is going to be massive.  I headed back to East Tennessee early Thursday morning to spend a few days with my family and be there for a very special Friday.  As soon as I got there Thursday, Mom and I went shopping at Turkey Creek!!  Thanks Mom for getting me some school things!

So excited to be with 2 of my favorite girls!

I can't believe how much she has grown!  (She is now 4 months old!!)

Thursday night, we went to dinner at Brixx.  It is a new pizza place in Turkey Creek.  It's great!  I wish it was there when I lived in Knoxville!  Oh well, I will definitely visit it whenever in town.

Friday night many of my family members came into town to celebrate with Summer and Mike.  Summer was joining the Catholic Church, she and Mike were getting married in the church, and Josie was being christened.  Needless to say, it was a special night!!

Love ya Dad

Saturday, most everyone headed down to Mom and Dad's house.  We enjoyed riding the jet skis, laying out, and tubing!  The kids LOVED tubing.  Summer and I pulled them around on the tube and jet skis for about 4 hours.  It was fun but we were both very tired after a long day in the sun.

Cade and Em about to tube!

Now it's Em and Anna Reese's turn.  We didn't go very fast with them.  =)

Cade

Kel wanted to go as fast as possible!

Em's turn to go it alone.

Let's hear it for the boys!
After a long day, we all went inside for a great dinner by none other than JANNY!!  It was a great weekend and it was great seeing everyone.  I missed Travis and Reecie, though.  I headed back home Sunday morning!

1,095 days strong!!

3 years ago today:  Travis and I were about to say, "I Do".
We were about to honeymoon in Jamaica!!
We were moving into our first house (condo) together in Knoxville.
Travis was working as a Mechanical Engineer in Oak Ridge and studying for the DAT.
I was about to set up my very first classroom in Kingston.
Travis was,25, the same age I am now.
I was a young, excited 22 year old.

We loved every minute of being newlyweds and never thought that life could get any better...

Now, 3 years later: We are celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary!
We've gone from an apartment to a house in Memphis.
Travis is in his second year of Dental School at the University of Tennessee-Memphis.
I am about to set up for classroom and kick off my fourth year of teaching 1st grade.
Travis is turning 28 in a few short months.
I am enjoying being 25 for another 5 months.

We realize now that our time living in Knoxville and working in Oak Ridge and Kingston were just small parts of our life together!  Everything happens for a reason and we are grateful for the ways our lives have changed.  God is great and life is good!!

Mr. and Mrs. Sisco

Travis, I love you and I am proud to call you mine!  Thanks for making me smile everyday!  143

Cornhole, Cookies & Cream, & Chris Harrison

Sometime during June, Travis and I decided to make our own Cornhole game.  He's wanted to make one for a while but never had the time.  We got all of the materials (wood, corn, and cloth) and got busy.  All in all it would probably only take a day or two but we took our time.  I am so proud of myself because I sewed the bags!!  My Mamaw Oran helped me.  I've never made anything like that so it felt good to make something on my own!!  Anyways, last night after dinner at The Outback with friends, we came back here for some Cornhole fun and "The Men Tell All" of the Bachelorette!!

Travis and Charles played against Lauren and Julie.  We were all pretty impressed with the girls!  Julie had never played before and she completely dominated.

The boys ended up winning 21-20 but it was super close throughout the entire game.  A few times the girls were in the lead.

Chip is interviewing Travis after the boys come back.

We still think that they are #1!!

The Cornhole Competitors-Julie, Lauren, Travis, and Charles

After Cornhole, we headed inside to catch up on "The Men Tell All".  We got a little hungry, so we sent Charles and Travis on an ice cream run.  They came back with Cookies & Cream, Banana Pudding, and Death By Chocolate.  Naturally, we all wanted a scoop of each!!  YUMMM.

Reecie assisted as the boys filled our bowls!

We thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream.  I think it was better than the show.  For some reason, either ABC was messing up or my TIVO wasn't working properly!  The show was cutting in and out.  But we didn't mind.  The boys on there were just being ridiculous.  The best part of the show were the sly comments made by host, Chris Harrison.

Kendall, Julie, and Charles

My family LOVES us some ice cream!!!

Josie's Future Boyfriend

Meet Josie's future main squeeze, Mr. Reed Mizer.  Isn't he a cutie pie?!  Reed is about 3-4 weeks younger than Josie B.  Reed is Amy's (Calloway) little man.  Nathan, Reed's dad, is always joking with Mike about them dating one day.  It kills Mike.  Of course, like every Dad he says, "she isn't dating!"  haha, we will see Mike.

Casserole

My Mom makes a wonderful breakfast casserole.  She makes it for us whenever we are in town.  Travis is always asking when I am going to make it for him.  I am not very confident in the kitchen, but I am slowly learning to enjoy cooking and to try new things.  Tonight we had breakfast for dinner, which is one of my favorite dinners, so I tried the casserole.  I am glad I tried it...it's very simple to make and very yummy!!

Egg/Sausage Casserole
1 pack crescent rolls
1 lb sausage
pack of shredded cheese (your choice)
6 eggs
1/2 cup of milk

-Spray the pan with Pam, Spread the rolls (no gaps) over the pan, Brown the sausage
-Drain the grease, pour the sausage onto the rolls, spread the shredded cheese on top
-Mix the eggs and milk, pour the mix onto the sausage and cheese
-Heat at 350 for about 25-30 minutes!

Travis said it was great.  He's too sweet to tell me other wise!  No, it did turn out pretty good.  Not as good as Janny's but good for my first try.  I learned to use a slightly bigger pan next time so my egg mixture will spread out better.  You live you learn, right?!

Josie Talking

The first video is Summer and Josie.

The second video is my Mom aka Granny Janny aka JHO aka Mamaw (she has many names).  She keeps Josie every Monday and Tuesday.  I think it's pretty obvious that she is enjoying retirement!  (Both videos were taken on cell phones so the clarity isn't the best.)

my turn, my turn!!

Ok class, today's lesson will be about blood pressure.  The D2s received some neat toys today:  a stethoscope and a blood pressure cuff.  Next year they will be in the clinic working on real patients everyday (I say real because right now they are working on each other).  Before working on each patient they will be required to take their blood pressure.  Today they learned how to do this.  Travis came home and wanted to take mine and naturally I wanted a turn!!  He taught me how to do it and I also checked his breathing.  It was fun.  I am thinking a career change??  =)
