{maeve was under the weather for a few days it is wasn't fun.  poor thing had a few rough days and sleepless nights.}

We are loving life and ready for spring!!

potty training update

We are officially 100 percent potty trained!!!  Hallelujah.  The whole process went much smoother and a whole lot shorter than we ever expected.  We were firm and stuck to the three day method and haven't gone back to diapers during the day since.  He still wears nighttime diapers for bedtime but wakes up dry 99.9 percent of the time the next morning.  Pretty amazing.  

Asher loves his new freedom.  He loves wearing underwear and running to the potty.  Just recently he's decided that he doesn't need our help to go pee pee.  He will scream "stay there" at us if we try to help.  Whatever son, I don't want to help you anyways {but really I do because I feel his youth slipping through my fingers.}

Just these past two weeks he's really started to understand the difference between needing to poop and needing to pee.  He can now tell us, "mommy, pee pee potty" or he'll say, "mommy, pee pee potty poop!"   

He hasn't had an accident in weeks which is so amazing to me since it's only been about a month since we tossed out the diapers.  He will tell us when we are out and about that he needs to go.  We've had to make a few emergency stops but he's always held it and made it in time.

We are so glad we bit the bullet and trained this wild man.  He is doing so well and man-oh-man is it nice to not have to change his diaper anymore!

Maeve and I had a great Girl's Day recently with some of our girlfriends.  We met for breakfast and then went to go see the new Cinderella movie
