"it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..."

Ok.  I know I am not the best decorator, but I am trying.  Hopefully, getting better.  Last year we didn't really decorate for Christmas.  We were in an apartment, that we/I hated, and I didn't want to decorate.  Now that we are in our house, which I love, I couldn't wait to decorate.  I've learned recently just how expensive Christmas decorations can be!  I got a few things for this year and am planning to go shopping after Christmas to get some things for next year.  Here's what I've done so far...

Our stockings!  Can't wait to see what Santa fills them with!

Decorative wreaths on our french doors.

Up close.

Just a few of my favorites.

Our "S" ornament made by my cousin, Katie.

Pretty present.  Mom thought it was cute, so she got her one!

Christmas wreath, Mom gave me this a few years ago.

Says it all...

p.s.
Happy Early Christmas to Me!  I have wanted a rug for our kitchen, so my wonderful husband told me to pick one out from him for Christmas.  When Mom and I went shopping on "Black Friday" I found this one at World Market.  I love it!!

Love the way it looks in my kitchen.

26 years old for 366 days

Tomorrow, November 24, is Julie's 26th birthday.  Sorry, had to tell that you are older than me, ha!  We are all heading our separate ways for Thanksgiving so we wanted to celebrate today instead.  We joked that she is going to be 26 for 366 days instead of 365.

Anyways, we showed up at her house and said, "Happy Birthday Friend,  now come on!  You are going with us!"  She had no idea where we were taking her.  Lauren and I just continued to have our conversation in the front seat and politely ignored her questions.  We took her to the Nail Bar, one of our favorite celebration spots, for a mani-pedi and some wine.  We then went back to the Trammell's for another surprise.  Outback to go!  The Puryears LOVE the Outback.  I think she was really surprised with everything.  We love you Julie and and hope you had a great birthday!!

Take out is the best way to go.

Those are some pretty feet!

Birthday cupcakes that were delicious.

Birthday Girl.

Isn't she the cutest in her crown?!

Looking good Puryears.

Yes, we are wearing our birthday hats, again!  You will see the hats for every birthday.  We are upset that we didn't take them to Keith's birthday bonfire last Thursday.  Click here to read about it!

Cutest Little Thing

Tomorrow, Miss Josie will be 8 months!  She is such a big girl now.  Travis is going to get to see her over Thanksgiving and he is not going to believe how much she has grown.  The last time he saw her she was only 3 months.  A lot has changed.  I'm still trying to get my sister to start a blog, still no luck.  Here are some pictures I stole from her Facebook page...

Josie loves her Papaw.  We love you too, Daddy!!

A future America's Next Top Model...

Josie, Uncle Trav is so proud of you!  He cannot wait until you become one of his patients.

Wow!  How much do they look alike?  Scary, huh?!

Happy 8 Months Sweet Girl.  We can't wait to spend your very first Thanksgiving with you.  We love you tons.

"it's a quarter after one...

..and I'm all alone and I need you now!"  That was the song we sang all weekend.  Friday night, we made our way to Oxford, Mississippi for the UT vs. Ole Miss game.  Our group of friends had rented a condo for the weekend.  We had a giant slumber party, literally!  We had rice crispy treats, "white trash", blow up mattresses, late night giggles, and too much fun.

Friday night after going out on the Square.

Lauren and Chip are Ole Miss grads.  Lauren's family had a tent set up right off of the "Walk of Champions" in the Grove.  We tailgated for about an hour before the game, which was at 11:20.

I borrowed some of these pictures from Kendall.  She has camera that puts mine to shame.  I am very jealous!  Check out her blog for LOTS more pictures.

Our wonderful group of friends.

Ready for the game.

Our seats were with the Puryears.

Even though the VOLS lost, we still had fun.

Back at the tailgate, getting kinda crazy.

Some dental school boys.

Absolutely love these girls.

Smile, Puryears.

Kisses.

Heading back to the condo.
We had a great weekend.  I don't think I've laughed so hard in my life.  Before this weekend, we were a close group of friends. But now after spending a weekend together, sleeping on air mattresses, seeing each other first thing in the morning, and sharing bathrooms we really are a family.

Day 11

It's day 11 of "No Shave November" for Mr. Sisco.  His beard is growing strong.  Looking good if I do say so myself.  I don't prefer a beard all the time but every now and then is good.

Too Short

Why do the weekends fly by and the week days pass by so slowly??  My parents and Travis traded places for the weekend.  Trav left for East Tennessee on Friday afternoon and past my parents on the interstate heading to Memphis.  Travis loves to hunt but dental school responsibilities has really limited his trips.  He used to hunt several times a month and take a week trip to Missouri with the guys in his family.  Now he is lucky to hunt twice during the season.  Poor guy, he's been craving some "manly outdoor" activities.  I am glad that he had the chance to go home and I am so glad that my parents came to keep me company!

Friday night we wanted to stay close to home so we ate dinner at A Movie and Pizza Company which is on the Island.  We stopped by Miss Cordelias to get some things to have in the morning.  Saturday morning we ran around and had lunch at a local deli.  Mom and I went to Old Navy while Dad went across the street to Book Star.  We were back home in time to cheer on the DUKE Blue Devils.  They are now 5-4.  We decided to stay in for the night and watch the UT vs. Memphis game.  Mom and I went and picked up salads and subs for dinner.  It was a perfect relaxing weekend.  I really miss just hanging out with my parents.  It felt good to be alone with them all weekend.  Don't get me wrong, I did miss my Man!  Thank you Mom and Dad for coming to visit me.  Love you.

She came baring gifts!  Love it.
