asher man update

Asher Man!!!  Mommy hasn't done a post just about you in a while.  I said I would do monthly posts until about two years with both you and Maeve.  Daddy, told me the other day that you needed your own post since you are 2.5 years old.  So much has been going on with you lately.  You have grown up right in front of our eyes.  I don't know where my little man went.

You've been sleeping in your big boy bed for about a month and a half now.  You love it, love it!  When you want Mommy to lay down with you for a few minutes you pat your pillow and say "bed bed".  I quickly obey and snuggle right up to you.  You push my head against your chest and pat me.  After a few minutes of hard core snuggling you push me away and say "go."

You still go to school two days a week and I think those are two of your favorite days.  You love school, your friends and your sweet teachers.  School has helped you learn your ABCs, counting to 10 and your colors.

You have the silliest personality.  You make us laugh all day.  Not because you try but because you are just funny.  That's what we love about you, you don't try to be goofy.  You just are.

I am one of your favorite people, thank you for that.  {You are one of mine.}

Capes, wands, gowns, hats, aprons, buckets, skirts, Mommy's shoes...  Whatever you can put on your head or body, you do.

Cars.  Trains.  Trucks.  'Nough said.

You slept in a hotel bed right beside Mommy and Daddy for the first time.  The first hour or so was rough but God so graciously put Nemo on tv for us right at the perfect time and you drifted off to sleep.   You did wake up around 4:00 yelling for Me but once I hopped over into your bed you were fine.  We all slept until after 8:00.

You love life and the outdoors.

You had an explosion at Chick-Fil-A one day and came home like this... didn't bother you one bit.  Potty training is coming very soon.  Yikes.

Sweet tea is a new favorite drink choice.

Crawling with your face to the carpet was fun, for a minute or two.  This nice burn lasted for about a week.  Made you look tough.

You love pestering your sister.

Getting down and dirty is what you do.

You are a picky eater.  You love one thing one day and hate it the next.  We've given up on healthy eating for the moment.  As long as your belly is full we are happy..  Call us terrible parents, we don't care.

Your smile is what I live for.

Time-out is where you live.

You love exploring new places.  The Cumberland County library was super fun and you were loving their Carosel.  {Thanks Nana for taking us!  We need to go back soon.}

One of your favorite movies is SHREK.  We went to see the play and you loved it.  You weren't feeling 100 percent that day so we left during intermission but you did fantastic for the first hour.  We will go back again soon.

If Mommy has on her socks and shoes, you want yours on two.  I love being twins with you.  Any day child, any day.

You love helping out the boys.  {You can really see the excitement in Jack's face.  They love projects. ha}

You are talking up a storm these days.  There's no way I can write all of your words.  You can repeat basically anything back to us.  It might not sound perfect but you know what you are saying and we do, too {most of the time}.  You put "x" or "sh" at the end of a lot of your words.

Some of your most common words:  oh cool, oh wow, wow, where's Mommy/Daddy, Maeve, Papaw, GJ, Nanny {Nana}, Poppy, Josie, Charlie, Mike, Memaw {Mamaw} Ree, Bee, YaYa, ball, duck, cow, bird, dog, horsh {horse}, nana {banana}, bar, milk, juice, tea, hi, bye bye, what, where is it, find it, fix it, broke, help, a bug, outside, pane {plane}, please, thanks, no, more please, chips, ride, cool {school}, poot, burt {burp}, booty, poop, peepee, yuck, potty, yee-haw, Pee-Coe {Roscoe P. Coltrain}, Shrek, Donkey, Nemo, Mumle {Mumble} car, kux {trucks}, bush {bus}, books, stix... those are all I can think of right now.  But you can say a lot!!!

You used to always want to bring your sticks inside.  Somehow you've learned that it's ok to leave them outside and that you will find more.

You are so many wonderful things!  But the thing you do best??  Love your Sister!  She's so lucky to have you.  Your her favorite person and our favorite boy!

We love you an incredible amount, Asher Man.  Thanks for being so wonderfully amazing.  Keep it up!
